Do I have to do bento?
1 of 3: Well, a little bit, yes.
2 of 3: You'll need to assemble at least three bento boxes: one to get the key to Yumi's apartment, one to get the password for Yumi's computer, and one when you ask about the writing on the pictures she sends you. And with these required boxes, you can't back out to start a new box either, unfortunately.
3 of 3: Outside of those required boxes, you can volunteer to make bento boxes whenever you like. For these volunteer boxes, if you get stuck, you can back away from them to stop, no harm no foul. If you then volunteer again, you'll get a different box next time, and there's a chance it might be easier to solve.
