Nancy Drew 23: Shadow at the Water's Edge Hints

Where and how should I make recordings?

  • 1 of 7: As Nancy says, we'll start with the same places Savannah mentions in her book.
  • 2 of 7: She says she got recordings behind the cherry tree in the garden, by the firepit in the lobby, in the upstairs hallways, and -- in *both* baths? Hmm. Well, that gives us a place to start, anyway.
  • 3 of 7: Walk into the garden and go to the cherry tree, which is on the right as you enter the garden from the lobby. There's now a hotspot behind the tree; click on it to walk behind the tree.
  • 4 of 7: Click on the 1 button, then press the Rec button and wait. The jiggly lines mean that it's recording something, but we don't know what yet because it's too quiet for our human ears to hear. When the sound stops, the recording will shut off.
  • 5 of 7: Then go on to the next spot to record. Record each spot on a different number until you're satisfied you have enough. In some places there'll just be silence; in that case, you can delete the recording and use that number to record elsewhere.
  • 6 of 7: Here are the places I've found that have sounds to record:
  • 7 of 7: Behind the cherry tree in the garden; next to the firepit in the lobby; standing by the water in the baths; in the hall outside Nancy's room; next to the lantern in the garden pond. Every other spot I've tried yields only silence.
