How do I use the chromatograph machine?

  • 1 of 6: The gas chromatograph is the only machine you can interact with in the Forensics Department, the room to the left of the case board.
  • 2 of 6: Its purpose is to analyze a sample of the debris left from a fire and alert you to the presence of accelerants. How extremely useful!
  • 3 of 6: After you've looked at the machine and read the Search Warrant Report inside the evidence locker --
  • 4 of 6: -- Nancy will realize that she needs a sample from the site of the fire. This looks like a job for someone who isn't locked in the police station, so call one of your friends.
  • 5 of 6: Once you have the sample, put it in the hole in the top of the chromatograph and click on the blue "Analyze" panel. Take the printout from the printer at right --
