Nancy Drew: The Secret of the Old Clock Hints
How do I know what to say to these people?
1 of 6: As Nancy noted, the three names are characters from Josiah's favorite play, "A Midsummer Night's Dream." His journal says that he used to give them their cues (that is, say a line from the play) and they'd say a different sentence back to him.
2 of 6: We need to know those cues. Where can we get a copy of that play?
3 of 6: Don't bother with the library in town. It's a long play, and those characters have a lot of cues. We need to know exactly which lines Josiah would say to them.
4 of 6: Did you notice that there's a copy of the play on Topham's desk? Maybe he'll let you borrow it, if you ask nice.
5 of 6: Nope. We'll have to come back some time when he's not around.
6 of 6: After you look at the play, the lines will be in your notebook and will appear as dialogue choices when you talk to the folks on the radio, so you don't need to write all of the quotes down. You just need to know which phrase goes with each person.
