Nancy Drew: Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake Hints

How do I sort Roman numeral envelopes for Jeff?

  • 1 of 5: To solve this puzzle, translate the years written on envelopes in Roman numerals and sort the envelopes in the box.  Remember, Jeff said the earliest date belongs down in the front of each row in the box.  Also, he has labeled ranges of years on the box; the envelopes need to be sorted into the correct ranges: 1900 - 1912, 1913 - 1919, 1920 - 1945, and 1946 - present.
  • 2 of 5: Start in one area of the box, translating and sorting the envelopes in rows systematically.  For example, you could start in the lower left corner, work up those five envelopes in the first column, then move to the bottom of the next column and work up, continuing like this until the puzzle is finished.
  • 3 of 5: Here are some tips on how to translate Roman numerals.
  • 4 of 5: This puzzle is different for Junior Detectives than for Senior Detectives, so the hints are split in that way.
  • 5 of 5: After you finished sorting, don't forget to investigate some of the sorted envelopes.
