What can I get from the Sleeping Man once I reach him?
1 of 8: You're after the Reaper's True Name, and maybe the Sleeping Man knows it or knows where you can learn it.
2 of 8: You got Sensei Dharvana's special amulet (one way or another), so put it on and probe the Sleeping Man's dreams.
3 of 8: Keep going through the dreams and focusing on various things until you get something useful.
4 of 8: Eventually, you'll be able to focus on a dream about a ring. When you do, a nearby astral door will activate. It'll allow you to go to the Subterranean Vault, where you can continue your search.
5 of 8: As an alternative, you can try to wake the Sleeping Man and talk to him to get the same information and astral door. (This may be necessary if your character has very low Wisdom.)
6 of 8: One way is to cut him with a knife, though that shifts your alignment quite a bit toward the evil side.
7 of 8: Another way to wake him is to give him a blast from the Trumpet of Pandemonium, which you can get from Arden Swift in the tavern.
8 of 8: NOTE: If Sensei Dharvana is still alive, she will be angered by you waking the Sleeping Man no matter how you do it, and will rush into the room and attack.
