Neverwinter Nights: Kingmaker Hints
How can I solve this puzzle?
of 15: Start by clicking on the "jewel box" that's next to the locked NE door.
of 15: When you do this, a friendly ghost will appear and give you several clues that you need to use to solve the puzzle. Click on the ghost at any time to repeat the clues.
of 15: Note that the clues seem to involve several different colors.
of 15: Six, to be exact.
of 15: And there are six urns on the puzzle board. This can't be coincidence.
of 15: You need to search around in the areas you can reach right now to find six special colored objects to put into the urns.
of 15: Go all through the south area of the crypt, killing undead and looting treasure chests, until you have six different colored pieces of glass that look like gems.
of 15: NOTE: You need to keep Ohio Smith alive and healthy, so you might want to tell him to wait in the puzzle room while you go and collect the colored glass.
of 15: NOTE: Two pieces of glass are found in the remains of powerful creatures (zombie lord and skeleton chieftain) instead of in treasure chests.
of 15: Once you have all the glass pieces, have the ghost repeat his clues so you can figure out which urn each piece goes in.
of 15: Notice that the urns are named according to directions (north, northeast, etc.) and the clues tell you what direction one color is from another.
of 15: The easiest way to figure out this puzzle is to set it up like a simple logic problem.
of 15: Actually, all you have to do is put a glass piece into an urn and see if the glass goes dim and the urn starts glowing. If so, it's placed correctly. If not, take it out and put another glass piece in. Keep that up until you have it all done.
of 15: Exact solution coming up.
of 15: Put the red glass in the NW urn, the yellow glass in the north urn, the orange glass in the NE urn, the green glass in the SW urn, the purple glass in the south urn, and the blue glass in the SE urn.
