Neverwinter Nights: Kingmaker Hints
Notes
1 of 6: The hermit will give you free healing once after you finish his quest. Wait to take advantage of that until you're badly torn up by some really tough combat.
2 of 6: You can sell the poison dagger to the smithy shop in South Cyan for way over 20,000 gold. You can then buy yourself a Greater Swordsman's Belt, which is a *very* useful belt to wear since it'll greatly reduce the damage done to you by slashing attacks. (The Greater Brawler's Belt is a good alternative, since a lot of attackers in the game do blunt damage.)
3 of 6: Instead of that, you can talk to Garrot Fist in the Silver Lily (SW corner of North Cyan) about the dagger to get another option. (Say you'd like to ask him some questions, then ask why he's so nervous.)
4 of 6: You can trade it to him for a pair of Yawning Boots (+5 to Hide and Move Silently skills) and 250 XP, or just give it to him for 250 XP and 15 lawful alignment points.
5 of 6: If all you're interested in is making money, sell the dagger since it's worth *way* more than the boots (and the above-mentioned belts will be way more useful than the boots for most characters).
6 of 6: If you return to the hermit after doing the Trade Guild subquest "Kobolds and Chickens and Cows, Oh My!", you can tell the hermit that the kobolds are the honey thieves in order to get some more gold and XP. If you didn't kill the kobolds, you'll also get a special +2 club that does bonus sonic damage. (After that, it's okay to go back and kill the kobolds for more XP.)
