How can I get to the final battle with the Masked "Man?"

  • 1 of 6: First, unlock the gate near the north end of the main bastion area.
  • 2 of 6: Then find the exit past the gate that leads to the Beholder Tunnels.
  • 3 of 6: After your magic weapon's talkative spirit admits that it's your grandfather (weird!), open a door to enter a room with two surprising foes.
  • 4 of 6: Going through the next door will get you into a room with three intellect devourers.
  • 5 of 6: In the Illithid Temple, walk down a corridor until you reach a door.
  • 6 of 6: Buff up yourself and your henchmen as much as you can, then save your game -- the final battle with the "Masked Man" illithid and his two devourer pals is in the room just past that door!
