What's the chaotic evil way?

  • 1 of 14: Agree to kill Sigerlin for 100 gold, then do it.
  • 2 of 14: The combat isn't totally trivial, but you should be able to win it without too much difficulty.
  • 3 of 14: TIP: Be sure to loot Sigerlin's body for chainmail and a Longsword +1.
  • 4 of 14: When you talk to Squilt again, he'll get all hedgy and manipulative.
  • 5 of 14: BUG NOTE: If you have Jaboli with you, she'll say something and then the conversation will be aborted, making it impossible to continue. If this happens, you'll have to switch to finishing this quest the Lawful Good way.
  • 6 of 14: Offer to give Squilt his 100 gold back when you get the chance.
  • 7 of 14: He'll let you keep it and assign you to go kill Gelani Jathorn, the old guildmaster he replaced by using trickery.
  • 8 of 14: Go to the nearby Mossy Tree tavern to find Gelani.
  • 9 of 14: You now have two choices. You can switch to the lawful good way of doing things (see above link), or you can continue with the chaotic evil way.
  • 10 of 14: Tell Gelani that you need her to come with you quickly, then choose a lie to tell her.
  • 11 of 14: WARNING: If you choose one of the first two lies, Gelani will take two guards with her who will turn hostile during the combat. The instant a guard dies, your magic weapon gets mad and ends the game, forcing you to resort to a save.
  • 12 of 14: Choose the lie about a hurt halfling asking for her by name. For some reason, Gelani won't think to take any guards along for that one.
  • 13 of 14: After she's dead, raid her body for treasure, then report back to Squilt to get 100 more gold and 1000 XP.
  • 14 of 14: Ask him about the election to confirm that you have the guild vote.
