How can any of the answers in the count-by-nine riddle be correct?
1 of 6: Riisi asks how many nines you use to count to 100, but nine goes into 100 eleven times with a remainder of one. That's not one of the choices.
2 of 6: Take it a little more literally.
3 of 6: How many numbers have the digit 9 in them as you count from 1 to 100?
4 of 6: Don't forget to count 99 as two 9's.
5 of 6: That gives eleven nines from 90 thru 99, plus nine more from 9, 19, 29, 39, 49, 59, 69, 79, and 89.
