What is it I'm supposed to get from the Night Hag?

  • 1 of 11: A bit of information about the past.
  • 2 of 11: Also, a way to avoid the "Stygian Lords," who sound really awful.
  • 3 of 11: TIP: Before you talk to her, examine the nearby headstone so you can ask her about it.
  • 4 of 11: When she pulls out some cards with which to tell your fortune, play along and draw a card when she wants you to.
  • 5 of 11: TIP: After you're through talking to the Night Hag, you can use each of the two cards once to get a brief vision and some XP.
  • 6 of 11: After the fortune-telling session is over, she'll start talking about demons and dying.
  • 7 of 11: Go touch the nearby ethereal leak when she tells you to, then return and talk to her.
  • 8 of 11: She'll take you on an introductory tour of the Plane of Sorrows so you can get used to the place.
  • 9 of 11: After you return to the Night Hag's home, talk to her again until she tells you about someone you need to meet in Brogan's Arm.
  • 10 of 11: When she asks if you need to buy any supplies, say no at first.
  • 11 of 11: Review the merchant tips in the general tips section of either the Shadows of Undrentide or Hordes of the Underdark hint file, then use them to maximize the gold you can get from the Night Hag when you sell her stuff. (Or wait until you get to Brogan's Arm and do all that with Old Man Nimmermaer, since he's the best merchant in the module.)
