Neverwinter Nights: Witch's Wake Hints
How does this whole Plane of Sorrows thing work?
of 10: It's a realm of the dead that the Night Hag has some power over.
of 10: Whenever you die after your first meeting with the Night Hag, you'll be taken to the Plane of Sorrows. (If you die before meeting her, you wake up back in the battlefield area next to Ragpicker, no harm done.)
of 10: Every time you visit the Plane of Sorrows, you'll appear near its southern end, on the so-called "Isle of the Dead."
of 10: The first three times you visit the plane, there'll be a new person (or creature) in one of the isle's cells to talk to.
of 10: When you reach the Night Hag, talk to her to leave the plane.
of 10: When you leave, you'll appear at the last ethereal leak that you touched. Due to this (and getting XP), you should find and touch every ethereal leak that you can.
of 10: To visit the Plane of Sorrows again, you must die.
of 10: Some quick ways to do that are to use the prince's pike to impale yourself (if you can make the required Will saving throw) or the deadly nightshade that the Night Hag sells.
of 10: WARNING: The Night Hag can only rescue you from the Plane of Sorrows four times total (including the time during your first meeting with her). If you die and visit the plane a fifth time, you'll find yourself locked in a cell with no escape but to descend to Stygia and die fighting hellish beasts. (You can respawn back to the plane and get healed up when you die, but there's still no way to continue the game.)
