Neverwinter Nights Hints

Five Tomes of Imaskar

  • 1 of 7: Eltoora Sarptyl, whom you'll remember from the Cloaktower in Neverwinter's City Core, has followed you here (as have all the hirelings from Neverwinter), and has another quest for you. You can even do it if you're not a sorcerer or wizard.
  • 2 of 7: Talk to her about work to get the quest to retrieve five Imaskarran tomes, each of which is (you guessed it) in a totally separate area.
  • 3 of 7: Once you've given all five tomes to Eltoora, you're through with the quest unless you're a wizard or sorcerer (or have a high Use Magic Device skill).
  • 4 of 7: If you are, use the teleporter near Eltoora to zap to her lab.
  • 5 of 7: Go into the main lab room and check the bookshelf to find Eltoora's research notes on each tome.
  • 6 of 7: If you put the items that each note lists in the chest in the center of the room and then cast the listed spell, you can make some good magical items to use.
  • 7 of 7: NOTE: Non-spellcasters can use the Tome of Fire's instructions to make a Staff of Power if they have the special fire opal from the East Road's Creator Ruins that can be used to cast Fireball. (Of course, the resulting Staff of Power isn't useful to non-mages except to sell for big bucks.)
