How do I get to where I can fully raid Baram's base?

  • 1 of 15: There are two ways to get into Baram's base so that you can loot the place and get his valuable seal.
  • 2 of 15: One is to enter the area where his illusion is, and bash or pick-lock the gate right behind the illusion. (Note that this makes the illusion disappear, and no negotiations with Baram will now be possible.)
  • 3 of 15: The other way is to go through the locked door in the NW part of the main sewers.
  • 4 of 15: To do that, you'll need to get the key, which can be obtained by doing the "Strange Bedfellows" quest.
  • 5 of 15: Once you're in Baram's sewers, make your way to the NW corner, where you'll have to fight a wererat captain and a yuan-ti necromancer.
  • 6 of 15: Search the necro's treasure bag after she's dead to find a parchment with a message on it relating to what's going on in the main lair area.
  • 7 of 15: Then take the stairs up that the yuan-ti was guarding to enter the main lair.
  • 8 of 15: Once there, you need to figure out how to unlock the NE door in the room with the big "necromatic summoning portal."
  • 9 of 15: Once past the door, it's a short trip to Baram's room up in the NW corner of the lair.
  • 10 of 15: You can attack him immediately, but there are three other things you might want to attack first.
  • 11 of 15: First, get that priestess before she can summon up any animals.
  • 12 of 15: Then bash those two glowing gargoyle statues, since they're giving Baram some magical protection.
  • 13 of 15: Then take Baram down hard!
  • 14 of 15: Search his treasure bag to find lots of high-level treasure plus his severed head, which you'll need to prove to Kurth that he's dead (if you're trying to get a reward out of Kurth for this deed).
  • 15 of 15: Baram's High Captain's seal is in a nearby locked and trapped chest. Don't neglect to get it before you leave.
