Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer Hints
Shou Family
of 12: You'll find a family from Shou standing around near the Mulsantir gate area's northern world map transition point after the first time you travel to the Wells of Lurue.
of 12: See the "Wisdom of the Hill Tribe" quest if you need to know how to make the Wells of Lurue a travel destination.
of 12: Talk to Mabata or Susu to find out what they're doing there. (You may have to talk to them twice before they'll tell you.)
of 12: It seems that their wagon got trampled by Okku and his spirit army earlier, and they're afraid to enter the city either because of Okku or the witches.
of 12: If you want to help them, you'll need to get them a replacement wagon.
of 12: Try talking to the merchants in Mulsantir to see if any of them sell wagons.
of 12: Azim Qo'toth does, but he'll charge you 10,000 gold for it.
of 12: After you pay him, go back outside and talk to Mabata to get 1000 XP.
of 12: If you remind him that he said he'd pay you, you'll get 11,000 gold.
of 12: However, it's better to instead wish him a safe trip, since you'll then get a good alignment point and magic boots called Longstrider's Steps in addition to the 11,000 gold.
of 12: The best option of all comes up if you're trying to trick someone into going too close to the uthraki camp for the above-mentioned hill tribe quest.
of 12: If you tell Mabata to go that way, you'll get 11,000 gold from him, and you can raid his wagon after returning to the uthraki camp to get the Longstrider's Steps boots plus the Blessings of Bhalla heavy armor and a ring called Imaedril's Respite.
