Mysterious Device

  • 1 of 8: You can get this quest soon after you get the "Legacy of the Headmistress" quest.
  • 2 of 8: After killing off the hostile students in the SE room in the classrooms area, search the tables in the room to find a mysterious device.
  • 3 of 8: Right-click on the device in inventory to see that it can be activated.
  • 4 of 8: Try activating it and then clicking on other items in your inventory.
  • 5 of 8: What you need is a spirit essence.
  • 6 of 8: Activate the device and then click on any spirit essence.
  • 7 of 8: By doing this, you'll gain the Malleate Spirit feat, which will allow you to craft items using pristine spirit essences.
  • 8 of 8: You'll also finally be able to make the Staff of Ashenwood if you consumed the Wood Man earlier.
