Appeasing the Spirits

  • 1 of 14: You get this quest in the Middle Barrow area while on the "Escape the Barrow" quest.
  • 2 of 14: After talking to Safiya about the spirit barrier, examine the three interactive items in the room.
  • 3 of 14: There's nothing you can do to the barrier directly, so check the offering bowl and bear skeleton that are nearby.
  • 4 of 14: If you want to quickly get through with this quest, bash the bear skeleton and then kill the barrow guardians and telthor bear that appear.
  • 5 of 14: Another quick way is to click on the barrier and choose to use the Imaskari rod on it (if you have the rod from the Imaskari Forges area). Doing so will shatter the rod and get you a conversation with an old lich.
  • 6 of 14: The longer option involves going and finding an offering to use with the offering bowl.
  • 7 of 14: Head up to the icy room that's in the NE corner of the area.
  • 8 of 14: When you enter it, an ice spirit called an orglash will approach you and talk to you.
  • 9 of 14: Your two main options with it are to either destroy it in battle or claim to be its master.
  • 10 of 14: If you say you're its master, you'll be able to summon it once a day to help you fight by using the special Orglash Crystal item that you get. (The crystal also makes you immune to cold and 50% more vulnerable to fire.)
  • 11 of 14: However you handle the orglash, search the two interactive offering piles in its room to find a Ring of the Frozen Falls and a Sacred Pouch.
  • 12 of 14: The pouch is what you need for the offering, so return to the room with the offering bowl.
  • 13 of 14: Click on the bowl and then choose to use the pouch with it in order to get 1000 XP and remove the barrier.
  • 14 of 14: NOTE: You'd probably get more XP by bashing the bones and fighting the spirits that attack you.
