Can I fight this lich?
1 of 6: Yes, if you choose the right conversation topic.
2 of 6: NOTE: If you let the lich get away, you'll meet him again in Act II, and he'll join your party for a short time.
3 of 6: If you'd rather fight him, say that he's not going anywhere because you're not done with him yet.
4 of 6: He won't be very good at damaging you, but he is *extremely* good at protecting himself. He can cast spells that'll make him nearly impossible to hit.
5 of 6: If you have the patience to hack away at him until he finally goes down (or if you get lucky with a spell like Disintegrate), you'll get a couple hundred or so XP plus a volatile power essence and a suit of Imaskari Battlemage Armor.
6 of 6: None of that is particularly great, so you may not want to bother fighting the lich. (You also may not want to waste the Imaskari rod on the barrier in the first place.)
