Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer Hints

Witchblessed Example

  • 1 of 6: The Witchblessed shield that's gotten from U'juk at the Wells of Lurue starts out with two great properties, so I usually use most of my coven essences to enhance it.
  • 2 of 6: Once Safiya is level 30, I have her add Regeneration +8 to it using three pristine fire or water essences.
  • 3 of 6: Or I may do it with two pristine essences when she's level 27 -- that gives Regeneration +7, which is almost as good, and it can be done much earlier in the game.
  • 4 of 6: Then I have my main character use five coven essences to add the Immunity to Mind-Affecting Spells property to it.
  • 5 of 6: NOTE: I could add that property by just using one coven essence, but that would knock the shield's AC bonus down to +4. I have to use five essences to keep its AC value at +8.
  • 6 of 6: A shield that's +8, makes you immune to mind-affecting spells plus *all* level 3 and under spells, and regenerates your health at the rate of 7 or 8 points per second -- now *that's* one heck of a great shield!
