Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer Hints
Merchant Notes
of 8: You should always buy and sell with your main character selected, and only after boosting his Intelligence stat as much as possible.
of 8: Mother Feodorra in the bazaar sells a Ring of Clear Thought +6 that you should buy as soon as possible so you can use it to get better prices on all future transactions. Safiya can wear it when you're not bartering, since wizards benefit from increased Intelligence.
of 8: NOTE: Don't forget to also unequip any Intelligence-draining items, such as the Mage Protector shield.
of 8: Unless you can pass a tough Bluff skill check with Shelvedar Nuum in the Mulsantir Gate area, the best merchant to sell to will be Azim Qo'toth in the bazaar.
of 8: Shelvedar Nuum has a Greater Magic Bag for sale that you might want to buy to store stuff in. It can be handy to put a bunch of heavy items in it while out on a quest so you don't get overloaded. (Buy it soon, since Nuum will only be available as a merchant until you enter the Veil Theater.)
of 8: Mother Feodorra sells a great belt called Faraneyth's Redemption. It has a huge Regeneration +8 enchantment on it, but it costs way over 400,000 gold! You'll have to save up for awhile if you want to buy it.
of 8: She also sells a couple of super-expensive weapons that you might want to consider, but you probably shouldn't until after you buy the belt.
of 8: The best way to save up money is to wait until Part 3 and use the Rest menu to get unlimited combats in Shadow Mulsantir. (See the Shadow Portal Info.) Combine all the volatile essences you get from dead foes into brilliant essences, then either sell them in small sets or enchant items to sell.
