An Ally at the Veil

  • 1 of 15: You get this quest during your conversation with Safiya right after you finish Part 1.
  • 2 of 15: After you search around the Mulsantir Gate area for loot, talk to Shelvedar Nuum next to his stuck wagon.
  • 3 of 15: Trade with Nuum if you want, then ask him about Lienna.
  • 4 of 15: Enter the city and look around its southern section for merchants and loot, plus the Veil Theater where Lienna supposedly is.
  • 5 of 15: Buff up and save before you enter the theater, since a red wizard will attack you inside with several gnolls unless you can intimidate him into leaving peacefully.
  • 6 of 15: After the fight is over or averted, someone named Magda will give you a shadow stone and say that Lienna fled to the Plane of Shadow's version of the theater.
  • 7 of 15: Search the northern rooms for more combat and loot, then find the shadow portal that's in the NW corner of the NW room.
  • 8 of 15: In the shadow version of the bedroom, you'll have to kill a red wizard and his erinyes companion.
  • 9 of 15: After that, loot the room (including the hard-to-see magic scrolls lying about) before going through the one door that's unlocked.
  • 10 of 15: In the operating room, look for more treasure, plus a strange operating table.
  • 11 of 15: In the theater area south of the operating room, you'll have to fight two red wizards and two erinyes, so be ready for that.
  • 12 of 15: After they're dead, look for several influence-gaining options in your conversation with Safiya, then loot all of the remains.
  • 13 of 15: Go back through the shadow portal and leave the Veil Theater, at which time the Wychlaren will appear before you.
  • 14 of 15: They'll tell you of the impending assault of the bear god and his spirit army, thereby starting Act I, Part 3: Spirit Siege.
  • 15 of 15: NOTE: This quest will continue in Act II, Part 2.
