Red Wizard Combat Tips
1 of 4: Before you go inside, equip everything that can protect you against mind-affecting magic. The wizard will cast a long-lasting spell on you that'll probably daze you unless you resist it.
2 of 4: The best thing to do is have Safiya memorize Mind Blank and cast it on you. However, she'll only have that spell if you've leveled her up at least once and specifically given it to her.
3 of 4: When the battle starts, run straight for the wizard and start attacking him. Hopefully, he'll go down quickly and won't be able to daze you.
4 of 4: Or, since being close to him makes it easier for him to daze you, you might want to hang back and fight the gnolls that run after you. If you can kill most or all of them before you get dazed, Safiya will probably be able to finish the battle by herself.
