The Death God's Vault

  • 1 of 13: This is a continuation of a quest that started back in Act I, Part 3. See its Optional Quests if you haven't started on it yet.
  • 2 of 13: Before you can continue with this quest, you'll need to finish the "The Haunted Furnace" quest.
  • 3 of 13: After the furnace spirits are gone, click on the furnace to search it and find a replica of the Silver Sword of Gith.
  • 4 of 13: That's the key you're after, so return to the locked gate.
  • 5 of 13: Click on the gate and choose to insert the silver sword replica.
  • 6 of 13: That officially ends the quest, but read on if you want some info on what you can do down in the lower level.
  • 7 of 13: There are lots of offering urns in the lower level's first room that you can loot for gold and Shadow of the Void fights.
  • 8 of 13: The west and south doors in that room are heavily locked and trapped.
  • 9 of 13: The first room's north door is unlocked, but the archives door a bit to the east will be locked.
  • 10 of 13: There's a lich king and several other powerful undead in the northern room, so you may want to have your people stand their ground in the hallway so you can lure the enemies to you a few at a time.
  • 11 of 13: After they're taken care of, loot all of the sarcophagus items in their room to get lots of gold.
  • 12 of 13: As for the locked Betrayer's Gate at the north end of the room, you won't be able to go through it until Act III.
  • 13 of 13: After you kill off all of the powerful undead and urn-dwelling shadows on the lower level, you can get more by attempting to rest. Make sure your spirit craving is very low before you do this, though.
