Neverwinter Nights 2 Hints

What if I decide to just kill him for his map?

  • 1 of 10: Choose an appropriate dialogue option, then finish him off.
  • 2 of 10: You'll automatically get his map and have the Lizardfolk Cave area marked on your world map when he dies.
  • 3 of 10: You can now skip the castle ruins if you want and run to one of the world map transition points.
  • 4 of 10: Travel to the Lizardfolk Cave region and fight your way along the path until it curves up northward and passes by a beach.
  • 5 of 10: At that point, get off the path and onto the beach.
  • 6 of 10: After killing a few last outdoor lizardmen, you'll be able to find the cave entrance in the beach area and go in.
  • 7 of 10: Fight and loot your way east and north to reach the lizardfolk chieftain's room.
  • 8 of 10: There are a lot of powerful lizards to kill in there, so it's best to draw them off a few at a time if you can, telling your companions to stand their ground a ways back before you do the drawing-off.
  • 9 of 10: If you just can't ever win this battle, you'll have to replay the game from the point where you met Slaan, and help him this time instead of killing him (since that gives you the option of talking to the chieftain).
  • 10 of 10: You're done in the cave after you kill the chieftain and loot his treasure room, so find the door in his room that leads to a shortcut exit, then head back to Highcliff.
