Neverwinter Nights 2 Hints

Arms Deal

  • 1 of 12: Go talk to Axel in his house in the Merchant Quarter. (If you took the City Watch route back in Act I, Part 3, you'll have to do the "City Watch Undercover" quest instead of this one.)
  • 2 of 12: After Axel introduces you to Sir Edmund Cebari, talk to him again and ask about work to get this quest.
  • 3 of 12: Go to the Blacklake District and search the area map for a pin labeled "Gannish Estate."
  • 4 of 12: You'll find it very close to the world map transition point.
  • 5 of 12: Enter through the estate's now-unlocked door and talk to Lord Gannish inside.
  • 6 of 12: Say that you've heard he's a traveler, and then ask him if he's been to Amn.
  • 7 of 12: He'll have the merchandise brought out, and will say to speak to him again when you're ready to finalize the deal.
  • 8 of 12: Click on each of the two merchandise tables and try each of the skill-related options you get to find flaws in the merchandise.
  • 9 of 12: There's no way to get your henchmen to do this for you or help you out, so you'll have to depend entirely on your main character's skills. Hopefully, he'll be able to succeed on at least a couple of skill checks.
  • 10 of 12: When you're done with that, talk to Gannish and tell him about any flaws you found to get the option to negotiate a lower price. How low you can get away with going, of course, depends on how many flaws you managed to find.
  • 11 of 12: After you finalize the deal, Gannish and several watchmen will attack you. Apparently, this was all a City Watch trap!
  • 12 of 12: Finish them off and loot all of the remains, then report back to Axel to get 1000 XP.
