Neverwinter Nights 2 Hints
How can I get these spirits to the tree room?
of 8: After you have a conversation with a spirit, click on it to get it going.
of 8: It'll run to a spot at a path intersection and then stop until you click on it again.
of 8: Unfortunately, you can't expect the spirits to always run toward the tree. They'll purposely run off in the wrong direction most of the time if they can, especially if they're near the tree room.
of 8: Remember that spirits can't go down passageways that have lit ghost lights anywhere along them.
of 8: At every step of the way, decide which direction you want the spirit to go the next time you click on it, then make sure the ghost lights are off in that direction, and are on in every other possible passage the spirit could take (including the way you just came).
of 8: This is ultra-tedious, but it's necessary in order to get all the spirits into position next to the stone tree.
of 8: To make things easier, I've created a version of the area map that labels the spirits by number and the ghost lights by letter. Use the map to find out the number of the spirit you're working on, then use that spirit's instructions to get it to the tree. (Note that you can click on a spirit's designation on the map to get its instructions rather than coming back out here first.)
of 8: TIP: If you go to the library and have all of your companions stand their ground there while you go round up the spirits, the process can be a bit less confusing.
