The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints
Is there anything to do in the Arena after becoming its Grand Champion?
of 10: Talk to Ysabel Andronicus again to find out.
of 10: She says that you can now partake in weekly battles with various creatures gathered from the wilderness specifically for you to fight.
of 10: When you tell her that you're ready for a match, she'll offer you some choices based on your current level. The higher your level, the tougher and more rewarding the fights will be.
of 10: After you make a choice, proceed to the Arena floor just like before and battle the chosen beast(s) to the death.
of 10: When you win, loot the creatures' bodies and return to Ysabel for your gold reward. (Note that it's randomly chosen when you talk to her, so quicksave first and try several times to see how much gold you can get.)
of 10: The only bad part is that it'll be a week before you can do it all again.
of 10: In the meantime, you can always bet on fights to win some more money that way.
of 10: Also, when you leave the Arena building after becoming Grand Champion, a whiny kid called "Adoring Fan" will run up to you and beg you to allow him to follow you around.
of 10: You can do so, but don't count on him to help at all in combat. His main use is to carry a torch at night, which frees you from having to do so.
of 10: If you get sick of him, you can always talk to him and tell him to stay put or get lost. (He'll return to the Arena District if you tell him to go away.)
