The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints
Spell Absorption
1 of 7: Spell Absorption is another "better than Resist Magic" effect because an absorbed spell not only doesn't affect you, but also replenishes your magicka supply. This is especially important to anyone who chose the Atronach for a birthsign.
2 of 7: Choosing that birthsign starts you off with a huge 50% Spell Absorption. Too bad about that "stunted magicka" thing, but there are ways to deal with it.
3 of 7: The Spelldrinker Amulet that's a reward for a Mages Guild quest can have a Spell Absorption effect that's up to 26%, but you have to be level 30 or higher for it to be that high.
4 of 7: Mankar Camoran's Robe, which you can get from Mankar Camoran in the next-to-last Main Quest, can have up to a 20% Spell Absorption on it, but you have to be at least level 18 for it to be that high.
5 of 7: Once you're level 17, you can get top-quality sigil stones from Oblivion Worlds, some of which will let you enchant an item with 15% Spell Absorption.
6 of 7: If you have the "Mehrunes' Razor" DLC module installed, you can get the Spellturn Cloak from Frathen Drothan. It'll have a 15% Spell Absorption on it if you're level 20 or higher when you get it.
7 of 7: The rest of the Spell Absorption items are all random and leveled with no sure way of getting them.
