The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints
Once I'm in the right tower, how can I get to its sigil stone?
of 9: The sigil stone is always at the top of the column of fire, which extends all the way up to the top of the tower.
of 9: To get up to where you can grab the sigil stone, you have to make your way up the tower through various side areas since there's no way to levitate or climb straight up it.
of 9: Each side area will have one or more ramps you can go up, and a door at the top that leads back into the main tower on a higher walkway.
of 9: You'll eventually make it to a tower walkway with a door or two to the Sigillum Sanguis area, which is the tower's top section.
of 9: In it, go up a spiky ramp and then a blood-tissue-style ramp to reach the platform next to the top of the column of fire where the sigil stone is floating.
of 9: Carefully move toward the sigil stone until you get the open hand cursor, then hit the Activate key to take it.
of 9: When you do, the sigil stone will be put in your inventory, from which you can use it to enchant one item either now or later. (See the Sigil Stone Tips for more info on that.)
of 9: The sigil tower starts shaking and flaming around as soon as the stone is taken, but you don't need to worry about getting damaged. Just wait until you're put back in Cyrodiil, next to the Oblivion gate that you used to enter the Oblivion world.
of 9: The gate will be completely destroyed, but there might be some stray Daedra still wandering around nearby if you didn't kill them all earlier.
