"Gate Release" Block Effects
As you face the four "gate release" blocks, you'll see two on the left and two on the right. On each side, one block is up higher than the other, so I decided to label them "top left," "bottom left," "top right," and "bottom right." As for the gates, I number them from 1 to 4, with the one nearest the "gate release" blocks being #1, and the one at the other end of the bridge being #4.
Below, I list each of the four blocks, saying which gates they affect and how those gates are affected when you use the blocks. Note that if pressing a block should close a gate that's already closed, it'll just stay closed. (Same with opening a gate that's already open.)
Top Left Block -------------- Affects Gates 1 and 3 If Gate 1 is closed, it'll be opened and Gate 3 will be closed. If Gate 1 is open, it'll be closed and Gate 3 will be opened. Bottom Left Block ----------------- Affects Gates 1 and 2 If Gate 2 is closed, it'll be opened and Gate 1 will be closed. If Gate 2 is open, it'll be closed and Gate 1 will be opened. Top Right Block --------------- Affects Gates 2 and 3 If Gate 3 is closed, it'll be opened and Gate 2 will be closed. If Gate 3 is open, it'll be closed and Gate 2 will be closed. Bottom Right Block ------------------ Affects Gates 1 and 4 If Gate 4 is closed, it'll be opened and so will Gate 1. If Gate 4 is open, it'll be closed and so will Gate 1.
