Mehrunes Razor Strategy
1 of 6: See the UHS hint file for "The Elder Scrolls IV: Knights of the Nine" if you want more info on getting the razor.
2 of 6: As in the sunderblade strategy, you'll need to travel out to the Serpent Stone and get its once-a-day power if you didn't choose the Lover for a birthsign.
3 of 6: When you reach Umbra, quicksave your game, then use your paralyzing power on her.
4 of 6: Immediately start slashing her with Mehrunes Razor, and don't stop until she either dies or kills you.
5 of 6: If she kills you, restore your quicksave and try again. Remember that the razor's instant-kill effect is random and Luck-dependent.
6 of 6: Due to the Luck factor, you might want to use the Spellmaking Tips to create a Fortify Luck 100 points on Self spell that'll last at least as long as your paralyzing power does. Cast the spell right before using the paralyzing power, and you'll have a much better chance of killing Umbra quickly.
