The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints

DLC Module Tips

  • 1 of 6: If you've got the "Mehrunes' Razor" DLC module installed, you can use the razor strategy on Umbra instead of the sunderblade strategy.
  • 2 of 6: That removes the need to buy the sunderblade, and the razor strategy can be a lot less trouble. You don't have to lead Umbra anywhere, her sword won't need repairing after you get it, etc.
  • 3 of 6: Another beneficial side-effect of the razor strategy is that you can use the money you saved up for the sunderblade to buy upgrades for Frostcrag Spire (if you've also got the "Wizard's Tower" DLC module installed).
  • 4 of 6: Get Frostcrag Spire's spellmaking and enchanting altars working so you can make spells and enchanted items earlier than if you had to wait and finish all of the Mages Guild's recommendation quests.
  • 5 of 6: If you can do this, look ahead at the "Make Spells and Chameleon Clothing" step and do some (or all) of that now.
  • 6 of 6: If you practice your Conjuration skill up enough before going after Umbra, you'll be able to use the summoned creature strategy with her.
