The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints

Dragon's Tongue

  • 1 of 7: There are 21 dragon's tongue plants that you can harvest in the surface ruins of Fort Redwater (location 16 on the Nibenay map).
  • 2 of 7: Each plant has an 80% chance of producing a dragon's tongue item, so you'll probably get most of what you need there.
  • 3 of 7: If you need more, head a short distance SW to Bloodrun Cave (location 35 on the Blackwood map), where you'll find three dragon's tongue plants next to the base of the stairs that lead up to the cave entrance, plus two more just on the other side of the large nearby rock.
  • 4 of 7: Two good places that are also on the Redwort Flower hunting list are Wendelbek and the spot halfway between Onyx caverns and Fort Teleman. Wendelbek has a cluster of eight dragon's tongue plants a short distance north of its entry door, and the other spot has six plants next to the 21 domica redworts (plus two inside Fort Bulwark's perimeter if it's there).
  • 5 of 7: If you look around NE of Leyawiin, you'll find one dragon's tongue plant near the Amelion Tomb (location 15), a cluster of four plants near some rocks on a hillside a bit to the SE of that, and a cluster of five plants next to some larger rocks directly south of that. Four more can be found next to the Greyland building that's just west of Leyawiin.
  • 6 of 7: There are fourteen dragon's tongue plants clustered around some rocks on the top of the hill that's SW of Fort Irony (location 7 on the Nibenay map). A total of sixteen more plants can be found in small clusters next to rocks a ways to the west, in the area a bit west of the road and just north of the water.
  • 7 of 7: You can give yourself some dragon's tongue using the PC Cheat Codes' "player.additem" command if you use form number 25039.
