Lost Histories

  • 1 of 14: Talk to S'krivva about "Thieves Guild special jobs" again after fencing a total of at least 400 gold worth of stolen goods.
  • 2 of 14: Now your task is to find another thief who was sent to steal a special book from a wizard in Skingrad.
  • 3 of 14: Fast-travel to Skingrad and bribe a beggar there to tell you about Theranis' whereabouts.
  • 4 of 14: It seems the dope bragged about his thiefly doings in front of the wrong person, and is now serving a jail sentence in the castle dungeon.
  • 5 of 14: You're going to need to get into the dungeon's cell area so you can talk to Theranis.
  • 6 of 14: Once you're in, you'll find that the only prisoner in the dungeon is some goon named Larthjar the Laggard.
  • 7 of 14: Talk to him and promise to rescue him (even though you don't need to) so you can ask him about Theranis.
  • 8 of 14: He'll say that some "Pale Lady" took Theranis away for the third time, which is apparently a really bad thing.
  • 9 of 14: Search Theranis' body to get a journal entry, then open the nearby portcullis gate to find the trouble-prone Amusei once again.
  • 10 of 14: Talk to Amusei about everything to learn that he knows where the "Lost Histories of Tamriel" book is, but he won't tell you until you get him safely out of the castle.
  • 11 of 14: Talk to Amusei about the book again after you're counted as escaping to learn that it's hidden behind Nerasterel's house.
  • 12 of 14: You'll find that house a ways west of Skingrad's East Gate.
  • 13 of 14: The book you want is on the ground between a bush and a rock directly behind Nerasterel's house. Check the local map for a green arrow pointing right to it.
  • 14 of 14: Once you have it, return to S'krivva in Bravil and hand the book over to finish the quest and get your reward.
