The Necromancer's Amulet

  • 1 of 11: After finishing "A Plot Revealed," get Polus to advance your rank to Wizard, then speak to Traven about "Necromancer's Amulet."
  • 2 of 11: NOTE: You can get "The Bloodworm Helm" quest at the same time and then do them in either order.
  • 3 of 11: Caranya took the amulet to Fort Ontus (location 14 on the Colovian Highlands map), so head over there and see if the place has been attacked by necromancers yet.
  • 4 of 11: Everything seems okay, since several friendly mages are standing around and looking perfectly unattacked as you make your way through the fort.
  • 5 of 11: Look around until you find a door to the Understreets region in the SW corner of the area.
  • 6 of 11: In the Understreets, skip by the two small gates that are locked and find the large gate a bit farther west.
  • 7 of 11: Use the nearby lever to open that gate, then go through it. You'll soon reach Caranya's big room.
  • 8 of 11: When you talk to her about the amulet, she'll reveal that she and everyone else around here secretly serve Mannimarco! She'll then turn hostile, as will all the other mages.
  • 9 of 11: TIP: If you're a melee fighter, have your best weapon out and ready to swing when you talk to Caranya.
  • 10 of 11: When Caranya is dead, grab the Necromancer's Amulet from her body, then fight your way back to the door you entered the Understreets through.
  • 11 of 11: Fight your way back outside so you can fast-travel to the Arcane University and turn the amulet over to Traven.
