The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints
Arrow of Extrication
of 11: Get your total fenced goods up to 700 gold's worth, then wait somewhere (the Imperial City is once again recommended) for a few hours so Amusei will show up and deliver a message.
of 11: This time you're to meet the Foxy One in Malintus Ancrus' house in Chorrol.
of 11: Ancrus' house is in the SW section of Chorrol, just across from Modryn Oreyn's house (which you'll be familiar with if you've been doing advanced Fighters Guild quests).
of 11: When you talk to the Gray Fox, he'll send you to Bravil to get a special Arrow of Extrication from the court wizard.
of 11: You can bribe a beggar in Bravil to learn that Fathis Aren keeps most of his treasures in his own personal tower south of town.
of 11: Also, only he can open the front door to his tower, but there's a secret passage that he sometimes uses to get there.
of 11: If you're a *really* good pickpocket, you may be able to shortcut the process immensely.
of 11: Once you're in the tower, head up four flights of stairs and then look for a side room that's set up like a small alchemy laboratory.
of 11: Loot the special chest named "Fathis Aren's Chest" to get the "key-shaped arrowhead" object. (Be sure to sneak if Aren is standing nearby.)
of 11: There's also a tower key in the chest in case you came in through the grotto. Instead of going back that way, just go down to the ground and out through the tower's front door.
of 11: After you get away with the odd arrow, return to Ancrus' house in Chorrol and hand the thing over to the Gray Fox to get promoted to Master Thief (which lets you use the fifth and last fencing guy).
