The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints

Vaermina

  • 1 of 9: Vaermina's shrine is at location 57 on the Nibenay map.
  • 2 of 9: You'll have to be at least level 5 to get this quest.
  • 3 of 9: Talk to Aymar Douar about "Shrine of Vaermina" and say that you wish to speak with Vaermina.
  • 4 of 9: He'll tell you that you need to offer the statue a black soul gem. (It doesn't have to be empty -- any black soul gem will do.)
  • 5 of 9: When you hand over the gem, you'll get the quest to go to Arkved's tower (location 55 on the Nibenay map) and retrieve a special orb he stole.
  • 6 of 9: Since Arkved is unconscious, you don't need to worry about him. Just find the orb you're after on a nearby table and take it.
  • 7 of 9: TIPS: You can easily kill Arkved and raid him for a few items. Also, read "Palla, Volume 1" on the table, since it's a unique Illusion skill book. The crumpled piece of paper and handwritten note on the table tell more of what happened to Arkved.
  • 8 of 9: When you're ready to leave, find the old wooden door in the room and go through it to get to a quick exit to the outside.
  • 9 of 9: Return to Vaermina's shrine and use her statue to turn over the orb and get the Skull of Corruption.
