The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints
Mackamentain
of 13: This ruin is at location 31 on the Nibenay map.
of 13: After you enter, head forward until you reach a pressure plate on the floor that opens a gate in front of you.
of 13: Past the gate is a large room with four Varla stone cages.
of 13: Use the push blocks in the niches in the NW and SE walls of the large room to raise the cages, then nab the stones and go down the room's NE passage.
of 13: After going past another pressure-plate-opens-gate gimmick, you'll come to a room with a door leading to the Tombs of the Undead area. (Watch out for the "mash you against the ceiling spikes" trap in the middle of that room.)
of 13: In the Tombs area, go up the stairs ahead of you and turn left when you can.
of 13: When you come to a large room with a pressure plate in the middle of its floor, step on it to raise some stone steps.
of 13: Go through the gate past the top of the stone steps and explore the room beyond until you find more steps in the NW part of it.
of 13: Just past those steps is the door to the Necromancer's Asylum area.
of 13: Past the asylum's first room is a huge room with several Welkynd stones up on pillar pedestals that you can take.
of 13: You'll also find the statue that you want on a stone slab next to an Ayleid reliquary in the approximate center of that room.
of 13: Once you have it, you can go back the way you came or pick the lock on one of the two gates at the NW end of the room to find a shortcut back to the first ruins area.
of 13: If you take the shortcut, look for a push block in the floor that you can use to open a secret door that leads back to a previously explored room near the exit.
