The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints

The Collector

  • 1 of 14: This is a large multi-part quest in which you retrieve special statues from Ayleid ruins and sell them to a collector.
  • 2 of 14: To start on the quest, you have to get one of the statues and then sell it.
  • 3 of 14: Below are hints for getting each of the ten collectible Ayleid statues in the game. Go get any one of them and then move on to the next hint.
  • 4 of 14: The way to get the attention of the collector is to sell the statue you have to any shop that'll buy it.
  • 5 of 14: Since the collector happens to live in the Imperial City, it would be best to go there and sell the statue in one of the shops in the Market District.
  • 6 of 14: After doing so, stand around and wait one hour outside the shop until Jollring shows up and gives you an invitation to visit Umbacano in his manor.
  • 7 of 14: Travel to the Talos Plaza District and find Umbacano Manor just NE of the central dragon statue.
  • 8 of 14: If the manor's door is locked, wait near it until it unlocks.
  • 9 of 14: Go in and follow Jollring after he talks to you.
  • 10 of 14: He'll take you up to Umbacano's private quarters, where you can talk to him to learn that there are nine more collectible Ayleid statues, and he'll pay 500 gold for each of them (plus a bonus of 5,000 gold after you turn in the last one).
  • 11 of 14: TIP: You can take the first statue to Umbacano Manor and show it to Jollring instead of selling it at a shop. That way you'll get 500 gold for it instead of what little the shop would give.
  • 12 of 14: So now you need to go get the statues from all the other Ayleid ruins that have them. (See the above list.)
  • 13 of 14: Whenever you get a statue, go to Umbacano Manor and talk to Jollring to get him to take you to Umbacano so you can sell him the statue.
  • 14 of 14: The quest is over when you sell Umbacano the tenth statue in the series and get your 5,000 gold bonus.
