The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Hints
Vilverin
of 16: This ruin is at location 3 on the Heartlands map.
of 16: Inside, go through the semi-circular room and the gate at its other end.
of 16: When you get to the huge room to the east, head south if you want to find a smaller room where the bandits have gathered several Welkynd stones.
of 16: Then go north and find the NE room with a door to the Vilverin Canosel area.
of 16: In the room with the four large pillars, head west and find the pressure plate on the floor behind the stone slab.
of 16: It opens a secret door in the north wall, which leads to a room where a bandit has been sacrificed on an altar.
of 16: From that room you can get to the room with the door to the Vilverin Wendesel area by either going through the locked gate to the north or by using the pressure plate and secret door that's to the west.
of 16: Grab Welkynd stones and watch out for a spiky pit trap as you head west in Wendesel.
of 16: At the north/south path split, go north for a few more Welkynd stones if you want them, then go south to find a large room with two small pillars covered in press blocks.
of 16: The key to the locked gate to the west can be gotten by pressing the upper right press block and then raiding the Ayleid chest that's revealed in the NW corner of the room.
of 16: The next room has a Varla stone cage in the middle of it.
of 16: To open the cage, find the stairs that lead up to the room's upper walkway and use the press block that's up there near the railing.
of 16: Down a short passage that starts near the press block is the door to the Vilverin Sel Sancremathi area.
of 16: A ways west of the entrance is a pedestal with the statue you want on it, but watch out for all the swinging blade traps arrayed around it.
of 16: If you want to, you can head west from the statue room and kill Jalbert and loot his area.
of 16: If you do, get the key from on the stone slab next to the Ayleid reliquary -- it'll open a nearby gate that leads to a shortcut back to the main Vilverin ruins area.
