Why can't I talk to any of the people around here?
1 of 10: Look around this city, and you may find a written explanation of what's happened.
2 of 10: Look on the top floor of the two-story temple.
3 of 10: There's some writing on the only solid wall on the second floor, on both the left side and right side of the wall. It tells how the people make the lotus beverage.
4 of 10: You should make that beverage yourself to see what effect it has on the people.
5 of 10: There's a machine in one corner of the city -- head up a small bridge to reach it.
6 of 10: You will need three items to make the beverage -- some water, some lotus seeds, and a filter. And you need a pot to make the beverage in.
7 of 10: Now go to the machine and follow the instructions that were left on the temple wall.
8 of 10: Remember that you need to filter the lotus seeds before pouring water on them.
9 of 10: Start by putting the filter down on the right side of the machine, and then put the seeds on the filter. Then, put the pot filled with water on the fire to the left, and use the lever on the far left to lower the pot into the fire. After a few seconds, raise the lever again and use the pot to pour the hot water onto the seeds. If you did everything correctly, you should produce a purple liquid.
