Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Justice For All Hints
How do I figure out the right statement to contradict?
1 of 3: It may not be possible to contradict the witness before you Press the witness on the correct statement(s). In some cases, it's impossible to contradict the witness; in those cases, you MUST Press every statement.
2 of 3: Usually, the right statement to contradict is the most specific statement. You can't contradict opinion-based statements like "I thought that was strange"; a "factual" statement, such as "I was eating dinner at 7:00," is much easier to contradict. Note that two statements next to each other might say roughly the same thing, but only one of them mentions a specific detail. For example, one statement might be "I went to eat dinner shortly afterwards," and the next statement might be "I was eating dinner at 7:00." In that case, you'd almost certainly want to try contradicting the latter statement.
3 of 3: Finally, when you press on the right statement, the game may give you a hint that there's something wrong with that statement. You'll often see remarks highlighted in red; that's a big hint to focus on the statement.
