The Orange Box: Portal Hints
Chamber 14 with Least Steps
1 of 6: To start with, use the Floor-Portal Routine to get from the starting elevator to a spot on the floor that's near the raised lift, but is a little bit back from it rather than right next to it.
2 of 6: Look down the left hallway to see the energy orb receptor shining its light up onto the ceiling. Fire a blue portal so that it hits the ceiling that the red light is shining on, but make the portal as close to you as you can while staying on that ceiling level.
3 of 6: Turn back to face the lift, look down, and fire an orange portal so that it appears right beneath you.
4 of 6: As you fall, quickly fire a blue portal at the floor below you, then straighten up your view so that you aren't facing down when you hit the blue portal.
5 of 6: Lean on the "Move backward" key after you shoot out of the orange portal to make sure you end up landing on the raised lift. (Or if you keep getting turned around for some reason, lean on the "Move forward" key instead.)
6 of 6: Then run-jump forward and into the elevator to finish the challenge.
