The Orange Box: Portal Hints
Chamber 18 with Least Steps
1 of 4: Run-jump into the starting room, and then over to the left corner of the floor, being careful not to fall into the toxic water.
2 of 4: Look up and to the right. Near the back right corner of the hallway ceiling, you should be able to see a tiny sliver of the ceiling that's over the first ledge you need to get to.
3 of 4: Carefully fire a blue portal so that it forms on the ledge's ceiling, then fire an orange portal into the floor that you can jump through. As you fall, you'll probably need to lean on a movement key to ensure that you land on the two-dot ledge.
4 of 4: From here on, this strategy is pretty much identical to the Chamber 18 in Least Time strategy. Use it to finish up, remembering to minimize steps as much as possible.
