The Orange Box: Portal Hints
How can I get back to previous areas after falling down into the lift room?
1 of 5: Via portals.
2 of 5: Go to the main room area near the three lifts.
3 of 5: Open an orange portal either in the floor or the extended wall segment, then fire a blue portal at one of the walls up next to the high-up ledge you dropped down from.
4 of 5: Going through the orange portal will then get you to where you can return to previous areas.
5 of 5: NOTE: Don't forget to take your companion cube along if you plan to go down those dangerous orb corridors again.
