The Orange Box: Portal Hints
Exactly how should I set the cube?
1 of 4: First of all, put it so that the side the orb hits is angled, and will deflect the orb over to the right.
2 of 4: Ideally, it'll then bounce off the wall to the right and up to the orb receptor.
3 of 4: It'll usually come close to the receptor if the cube is next to the left side of the doorway (left as you face the orange portal).
4 of 4: Once you get it to where the orb will bounce near the receptor but won't go in, you'll have to patiently adjust the cube's position and angle until you can get the orb to go into the receptor.
