How can I destroy a core device?
1 of 17: With the nearby incinerator.
2 of 17: The incinerator itself is in the back center of the room, on the side opposite the door you came in through.
3 of 17: Notice that there's an X on the wall near it with blue dots leading away.
4 of 17: If you follow the dots, you'll come to a small enclosure with a button post in it.
5 of 17: Pressing the button will open the incinerator briefly.
6 of 17: However, you won't be able to get back to the incinerator before it closes. Also, the game makes it impossible to set a core on the incinerator so that it'll fall in when the incinerator opens.
7 of 17: You're going to need to rig up a way to get between the button and the incinerator faster.
8 of 17: Portals come to mind.
9 of 17: The closest you can put a portal to the button is on the wall where the blue dots end.
10 of 17: Put a blue portal there, then put an orange one on one of the walls that's close to the incinerator.
11 of 17: Drop the core you're trying to destroy next to the incinerator, then use your portals to get to the button.
12 of 17: As soon as you press it, use your portals to get back to the incinerator.
13 of 17: Pick up the core and drop it into the incinerator before it can close back up.
14 of 17: As an alternative, you could open an orange portal on the ceiling directly above the incinerator, then carry the core over to the wall where the blue dots end.
15 of 17: Drop the core, put the blue portal on the wall, then press the button to open the incinerator.
16 of 17: Pick up the core and toss it through the blue portal so that it'll fall into the incinerator.
17 of 17: This can be kind of tricky, since you don't want to miss the incinerator with the core, and you don't want to fall in yourself. It's probably easier to use the first method.
