The Orange Box: Portal Hints
How can I get the red core down?
1 of 6: It'll be held up in the air, way above the floor and far away from any wall.
2 of 6: The best way to go after it is the same way you went after the blue core.
3 of 6: Put a blue portal high up on the wall that's nearest the red core, then put an orange portal at the base of the same wall.
4 of 6: After saving your game, carefully go through the orange portal and drop toward the red core.
5 of 6: Repeatedly press the "Use item" key (don't just hold it down) as you get near the core, in hopes of taking it or at least knocking it to the floor.
6 of 6: If you don't get it, run back to your orange portal and try again. (Or restore your save and try again if you're running short on time.)
