The Orange Box: Portal Hints
How can I get an orb into receptor #2?
1 of 8: This receptor is the one that's up on a slanty piece of concrete near the start of the row of lifts.
2 of 8: This one is complicated by the addition of a glass barrier near the receptor device.
3 of 8: You're still going to have to redirect the energy orb from the second orb corridor into this area using portals, so get back to the end of that corridor.
4 of 8: Fire a blue portal onto the wall where the orb bounces, then return to the lift room and drop down to the lower floor.
5 of 8: It would be nice if you could put your orange portal in the ceiling directly above the receptor, but it's covered in portal-proof metal.
6 of 8: But the ceiling above the slanty concrete that's directly across from the receptor isn't metal-clad.
7 of 8: Put the orange portal into the approximate center of that ceiling.
8 of 8: When an orb comes through the portal, it should bounce off the slanty concrete and go into the receptor. If it doesn't, adjust the position of the orange portal.
